07/12/07 5:30 PM Eastern - This 2007 Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race has completed! Although a little slower then expected it was a great event.

07/10/07 1:30 PM Eastern - Blue Yankee was the FIRST TO FINISH!! Congratulations!! Alchemy came in not long after! Hissar, Donnybrook and Rima2 are bearing down and should finish very soon. As soon as pictures and news updates are available we will get and update on-line, please stayed tuned!!!

07/9/07 6:30 PM Eastern - Well the race is not necessarily a fast one but as the racers approach the southern tip of Nova Scotia the winds will be out of the southeast at 10 to 15 kts overnight. Maybe the speed will increase. Additionally a trough of low pressure will move over the western waters tonight. Tuesday they will be welcomed by occasional showers and thundershowers and sporadic fog banks. Please stayed tuned for more updates and track the race along with us!

07/8/07 12:30 PM Eastern - The updated weather forecast for the Boston/Marblehead region is predicted to have west winds at 10 to 15 kts with gusts to 20 kts. Waves will be 1 to 2 ft. Tonight winds will shift and come out of the north at 10 to 15 kts, becoming easterly after midnight calming to 5 to 10 kts with patchy fog conditions. Temps this afternoon will be in the upper 80's. Stay tuned for more updates!

07/7/07 8:30 AM Eastern - As of this morning the forecast for Sunday morning is calling for Mostly Sunny skies, highs in the upper 80's with SW winds at 5 to 10 kt, increasing to 10 to 15 kt late morning into the afternoon with gusts up to 20 kt. Waves are predicted to be 1 to 2 ft. Sunday night winds will be steady at 10 to 15 kt, waves at 1 foot or less, and calling for partly cloudy skies, humid conditions with lows dropping to close to 70 degrees. 07/6/07 11:45 PM Eastern - The FIS Tracking Race Start crew, [Adam, Mike & Gerard], are on the ground and preparing for the start of the historic Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race! The Race is set to begin Sunday July 8, 2007 with the first boats starting at 1PM Eastern time. Be sure to come back to get all of the updates and track the progress of the race!!
